Kawasaki Versys 1000, as an upgrade option for my Kawasaki Vulcan 500. The Vulcan was a pretty much beginner easy rider bike, which faithfully took me on adventures and places for the last 15 years. There wasn’t much not to like about the Vulcan 500, but there was this burning desire to get on a adventure bike "at least" to hit the roads less travelled.
Why the Versys 1000? Well here in Malaysia the Versys 650 was first introduced a few years back and it instantly became a popular hit once they began selling the CKD version from Thailand for fraction of the cost of a CBU model from Japan. That sparked off a new breed of riders who now can afford these bikes, and set off on an adventure race around the country and beyond. Never has been the increase of "big bikes" in Malaysia as apparent as it did in the last 5 years.

I was looking for a big enough bike to take me the distance, as well as to have enough hp to give the speed boost when I need too. The high seating positions is always a plus point, which gives any rider the additional viewing point when confronted with traffic situation.
congrats! so far do u hv any issues w the built of this amazing bike...skru longgar ke..the plastics n what nots..thanks
ReplyDeleteHi, Thank you. So far didn't encounter any issues in regards to loose screw or plastic mounting. I agree they may seem like they are loosely attached, but so far no issues :)
